Today we’re launching some great new features:
Groups: You can now group your friends into groups that will make creating events for particular groups just that much easier. To create and manage your groups, click on the Friends menu link from any page. When creating a new event you can invite all the people in a group by selecting the Group tab in step 2 (Invite Friends). You can select as many groups as you want and can mix and match groups and individuals. Also, don’t worry if you invite the same person multiple times, we’ll only send them one invitation.
Re-Vite: It’s now easier than ever to create repetitive events. If you’ve created an event before you’ll now see the Re-Vite drop down list appear at the top of the event creation page. This drop down list contains all the events you’ve previously created. Selecting one from the list will automatically set the fields for the new event to match the one you selected. In addition we’ll automatically select all the people who were originally invited to that event. This makes it super easy to create recuring events, or events that are similar.
Invite EMail Enhancements: The actual invitation email that gets sent to your guests has been enhanced. It now includes links for Yes, No and Maybe RSVPs. It still takes the guest to the gatherra site but makes guest responses that much easier.
New Designs: Finally, we’ve added two new background designs from David Caraker
